About

I am an associate professor of U.S. and environmental history, and I direct our department's innovative GIS-based master's degree program in Historical Resources Managment. We train students to employ geographic information systems to analyze historical problems.
I also serve as the editor of the peer-reviewed journal, /Idaho Yesterdays/, published by the Idaho State Historical Society. For questions, please email me.
My current research project focuses on the study, management, and use of groundwater in modern history, particularly in the U.S. West after World War Two.
